Description
Plant Description
Sunbeam Lantern plants arise from a complex pedigree — (Cheiro Roxa × Scarlet Chili) × Aji Charapita — and demonstrate a dense, upright architecture with steady flowering deep into the season. Plants maintain moderate vigor and a clean canopy, producing 1–3 fruits per node. Late-season nitrogen will be required as this plant is a heavy feeder. Anthocyanin expression is visible in stems and immature fruit, especially under high UV.
Fruit Description
Fruits average ~2.7 g and are typically a lantern- or gourd-shaped morphology with subtle ribbing. Immature and sun-exposed fruit develop an attractive anthocyanin blush that usually fades as the fruit matures. Heat is low, accompanied by a Brix of ~4.5, resulting in a very mild pepper.
